Something shiny this way comes...
Why hello there something shiny, why are you distracting me so?
Okay, I have fallen off my research kick for my TTRPG. I realized that the book I had bought to use as reference for the setting was written more like my kids telling me a story ("And then this happened, then that...then this...then that) than actually exposing what the world around it was like.
I guess that's what I can expect from a collection of legends being collectively written down hundreds of years ago. How dare they not think of the world building!!!
Because of this revelation, my brain has turned off research mode altogether for the moment. Thanks ADHD, you really know how to help!
I'll get back on that horse soon-ish. But for now, I'm letting my mind process the little I have learned about the mechanics of TTRPGs. This is a marathon after all, not a sprint.
And if there's one thing I know about marathons, it's that they're long and difficult and I have never trained for one.
And in the meantime, I guess I'll tend to my real life obligations. Damn my sense of responsibility!
