Life...uh...uh...gets in the way.
Why hello there strangers! Long time no write.
I'm sure most of you forgot I had a blog. Heck, I forgot I had a blog!
Seeing people post their "year end blogs" today reminded me that it has been quite some time since I've posted.
I wish I could say there's been significant progress on my TTRPG. But alas, there has not been. Not for a lack of interest, but because life got in the way.
See, the last time I posted was on October 8th of 2025. Ten days later, my family adopted a dog. This dog has consumed my free time. He has energy for days, and has decided out of the four people in our house that I am the one that is his person. So, my free time has become "play with the puppy" time.
Someone I know said my blog is about procrastination, and I cannot deny that. This time I'm not purposely kicking the can down the road, I just have new obligations I'm working into my schedule and needing my attention.
That's not to say I've given up. Far from it. I've been learning more about TTRPG systems outside of the classic Dungeons and Dragons, and figuring out what mechanics I want to use in my game. Right now the TTRPG that has my attention is Land of Eem, which I got the core rule book for Christmas and am working my way through reading to familiarize myself with.
So, I've not given up yet. I've just been distracted. In 2026 I hope to be able to codify my game. But, before I can sit down and get my game done, I need to get my energetic puppy trained so he leaves me alone long enough to actually write.
