I've never been good at exercising

Hello screen-bound friends!

Welcome to my free-form, barely edited update on my project. (TL;DR I haven't done much as far as writing).

The waxing and waning pendulum of working on my RPG has swung back to waxing. At least I think that might be the productivity/moving forward part, I've never been clear on that.

I have found a few podcasts and youtubers who focus on TTRPG creation which have been giving advice on where to begin and how to go about making an idea into a reality.

Of course, creativity is a skill you need to practice. I think this is why many adults feel they lose their creativity as they get older. Adult life tends to focus on the here and now, and if you don't exercise your creativity, it atrophies and shrivels up like a fruit left on the tree too long.

And once you lose that skill, you need to work harder to get the juices flowing regularly again. You need to exercise, and flex that brain muscle.

But, I am fairly stereotypical nerd. I am exercise averse. I walk daily, that's about it.

Finding an exercise routine I can stick to has always been a struggle, which unfortunately includes focusing on my creativity and getting those reps in. So for actually writing my RPG, I've done basically nothing yet. I'm still figuring out where I want to start.

Also, my YouTube feed is also like "You like TTRPGs? How about this video about binding your own book", which has lead to some mental side quests.

Thankfully I've got this blog as a baby-steps to get the creative juices flowing. Unfortunately, my brain goes "that's enough, I'm done for the day". I need to build up that endurance that only comes with training, which then means an exercise routine, which I've always struggled with. And round and round we go.

I'll figure this out some day. In the meantime, I'll get back to attempting to learn and do my research. Hopefully getting that dopamine kick back up to 11.
